Trade Proposal Involving Greg Monroe

Before this season, I thought Greg Monroe was untradeable like alot of other people. Now, i'm not so sure. Even though its pretty early in the season, I don't think that having both Josh Smith and Greg Monroe is good for the team long term. I've seen alot of trade scenarios involving Smith, but I would like to know if anyone is open to trading Monroe. While Smith does come with his drawbacks, he is a skilled passer, he can stretch the defense (sort of) more than Greg, and I think he can be a better defender at the PF position than Greg can be. With this in mind, I am open to trading for a top tier SF at the expense of losing Greg.

The player I would like to come to detroit would bring alot of controversy, but i'd like to hear the opinion of others in this community. I would like to see the pistons try to get CARMELO ANTHONY. YES, I SAID MELO. Many of you may say that he is just another chucker that would stall the offense and cause the loss of chemistry. Some others might also mention his lack of effort on defense. All of the points that you can bring up are probably valid. In my opinion, Melo would give the pistons a go to scorer. He can carry the offense in the 4th quarter, which is where the offense has stalled repeatedly in the season already. I was thinking some combination of Greg, Charlie V, JJ for Melo and another Knick to make the salaries work a little better. Based on the salaries of the main players involved, it might make more sense to make a sign and trade deal at the end of the season, which would involve less players.

Thoughts?

ALL OPINIONS ARE WELCOME.
