Let's Make This Quick (Josh Smith Trade)

Josh Smith sucks at the game of basketball, he doesn't fit our team but has talent. The Nets need somebody to try to carry their team because they are all in on winning this year. We trade Josh Smith to Brooklyn for Paul Pierce. Pierce can just stand in the corner and shoot 3's which is what Smith tries to do but with a real shooter in Pierce he could knock down 3-4 Threes per game and give us 12-14 points, a good leader, and a guy who can occasionally set up his teammates. After the season we have Stuckey, Villanueva, Pierce, and Monroe expire. Hopefully we extend Monroe 4/52 or something around there leaving us with about $23 Million to spend in Free Agency.

Joe Dumars then realizes you don't just throw players who can score points together and build a team, we sign Ramon Sessions 2/9 to back up Jennings. We then sign Trevor Ariza 3/18, Brandon Rush 1/2, and draft another shooter. This makes our team way better defensively, gives us better shooting, and gives us a real backup point guard. While allowing us to build the future around Drumroe.

Would you guys be in favor of this trade?
