Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

"This building brings out the Ron Artest in Metta World Peace." -- George Blaha.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Metta World Peace has undergone a complete character rehabilitation (complete with a nifty name change) since his Malice at the Palace days, but he had a momentary relapse during the Lakers' win in Detroit on Sunday.

To set the scene: Brandon Knight and World Peace got tangled up while battling for position, and they continued to battle even after the play was whistled dead. Instead of simply putting his hands down and walking away, World Peace brought his left arm up to create space, sneaking in a left uppercut to Knight's face, prompting Knight to return the favor with a glancing elbow.

It was certainly a soft punch -- World Peace's fist wasn't even closed -- with the likely intent of annoying more than injuring, but it certainly looked like it was on purpose from my view. You be the judge:

The referees took some time to review the play, ultimately tagging Artest with a flagrant foul. I'm curious to see if the NBA will hand down any more punishment.
