David Mayo writes that O.J. Mayo (related? I doubt it...) is near the top of the Pistons' wishlist, and that if we signed him we'd push Knight back to point guard (this is all assuming we don't resign Calderon). He also confidently boasts that signing Mayo to an eight-figure contract "WILL prove a worthwhile expenditure." I'm not sure I agree w/ his optimism, and I think both of these young fellows would need to show some serious improvement to make this a successful backcourt. Banking on potential for a volume scorer is not worth 10,000,000 dollars, says me.
