After the signing of Josh Smith, the Pistons still had about 8 million dollars +/- left to spend under the salary cap. Instead of signing one of these free agent point guards that got reasonable contracts to be the PGOTF, the Pistons signed 3 role players in Will Bynum, Chauncey Billups and Gigi Datome. At this point, the pistons only have about 2 million dollars left of cap space.
My questions are, why didn't Joe go out and sign Jeff Teague or Jarrett Jack instead of these 3 guys? What will our guard situation look like this year at PG and SG? Will Joe make a move to get a starting PG before the season starts (Rondo/Dragic etc)?
