As some of you may have heard, the management is looking at trades revolving Aldridge and as much as i like him as a player his age of (27-28) doesn't fit our rebuild. As I looked around the web detroit struck with the best possible trade scenario.
First of all I'm gonna assume that Drummond is off limits. Correct me if i'm wrong.
You have a great upcoming center, a great sf (Smith) and excellent wings in KCP and Knight. All you need is a third star to push you into contention in the weak (and i mean really weak) east. I mean come on everyone is tanking over there!
Would you do the following trade LMA and Victor Claver for Monroe, Stuckey and Tony mitchell
Detroit gets an allstar in LMA who can stretch the floor and let drummond and smith get to work near the basket. You also get a decent backup small forward with plenty of potential.
Portland gets younger with Monroe and Tony Mitchell and makes salaries work with stuckey (don't really want him anyway)
So what do you think good deal? Would you throw in KCP for a chance at a championship? let me know thanks!
