First off I want to say hello to all the Bad Boys Faithful, I lived in the Chicago area and was a DIE Hard Bulls fan when Macy threw Jordan his first Alley-oop. I watched in HORROR as you BULLied and battered my beloved team time and time again. When your run ended and everyone walked off the floor I as well as everyone else in Chicagoland Hated the Pistons. Keep in mind I was only about 18 years old and it took me a few years to appreciate what the Pistons represented. The older I became the more I looked back and broke out my Betamax tapes watching the Pistons and why they were SO DAMN GOOD, The Milwaukee Bucks were my second favorite team, I lived 60 miles from both stadiums and it was ALWAYS much easier to see a Bucks game (not to mention cheaper) I could appreciate the Bucks work ethic Frank the Brick, Ellis, Bruer, then Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Big Dog and Vin Baker, Recently I moved ten miles from Milwaukee and became a season ticket holder 3 years ago. I was happy when Brandon came to town and the honeymoon was pretty sweet. However, last season was truly horrific. Aside from his whining and crying about being an all-star snub and his contract after firing his agent. (He was truly delusional enough to believe that his management was the reason for his lack of attention.) He had the balls to ask for a max contract before the season was even over. His on court performance was truly pathetic, his defense even worse, during the span of about ten days when he was averaging around 8 points a game (being kind here) He would play halfway decent against the dregs of the conference and then when we needed him to step up coming down the stretch....Nothing! Here is my point. The "Bad Boys" DESERVE a tougher, smarter, much less whiny competitor to run your squad. Every time I met him he was a stuck up prima-donna. I can't tell you how glad I am that he's gone. I'm a BIG fan of defense (Hence my appreciation of your late 80's - 90's teams.) I truly can't tell you the number of times even mediocre point guards would blow by him like a bull fighter missing the red cape. To top it all off when the game was hanging in the balance and there was 7+ seconds to go he would heave up prayer shots from 10 feet behind the 3 point line and then storm off the court. Bottom line is 8 million is too much, Hopefully he can get hot before the trade deadline and you can send him to a western conference team where defense is less important. Hopefully I'm wrong but if coach Skiles couldn't bring out the best in him I'm doubting Coach Cheeks will be able to either. I do wish you luck with him but remember no Take backs!
