Pistons vs. Clippers final score: Los Angeles 112, Detroit 103

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Pistons' couldn't stop anything LA did, and the final score doesn't show how big a blowout this game was.

What Happened:

It's hard to explain to someone who didn't watch this game just how terrible the Pistons' defense was, which is unfortunate, because that's what I'm trying to do. The Pistons had no answers for anything. Lob City ran wild, and DeAndre Jordan got seven (!!) dunks by his lonesome. The different Clippers - Jamal Crawford, Blake Griffin, and J.J. Redick - eclipsed the twenty point mark.

The Clippers stretched the lead to as large as nineteen points late, and then appeared to quit. The Pistons, to their credit, cashed in and cut the lead to nine, but a crushing alley-oop dunk from Jordan followed by an all-net tripe from Crawford sealed it.

Had the Clips kept the pedal to the floor, they probably couldn't have scored one hundred and twenty-five or so.

What Stood Out:

I'll let George and Greg call it for you:

Who Stood Out:

The aforementioned Clippers, especially Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford, who exposed everything that's wrong with the Detroit defense.

Rodney Stuckey was fabulous. On Monday, Stuckey looked like the player we were dreaming he could be four years ago. He was just too strong going to the basket, and his jumper was working for good measure. Twenty-nine points on twenty shots, and even more importantly, he got the the line seven times where he made six.

Josh Smith scored twenty-four points. To his credit, he mostly attacked the rim, which is where he's best, but he's not drawing many fouls, and he missed all three of his free throws. The net result is 1.03 points per possession, which makes his game look a lot worse than his twenty-four points.

Andre Drummond did what he does. Yet another double double for the big fella. Fifteen points, eleven boards, 2 steals, 2 blocks. However, he struggled terribly on defense and is as guilty as anyone for Lob City having a field day.

Greg Monroe, for all the wrong reasons. He took only three shots, scored only six points, and grabbed only three boards. He looks like a player who's discouraged and losing interest quickly. I am officially worried.

Brandon Jennings, also for the wrong reasons. He had a donut in the scoring column on zero for seven shooting.

Game Bullet:

Only one, because it says enough:
