For the record, I have no interest in trading Greg Monroe. I see him as part of the solution as opposed to part of the problem. Losing him will not help any of the problems that haunt this team. There are reasonable trade options out there for Josh Smith, but the smart money however has Greg's days with the Pistons numbered. It looks like Joe Dumars is willing to mortgage our future for a "win now" trade (win what, I'm not sure). So, let's play general manager. Tom Gores has fired Joe Dumars and asked you to make a move for him. These are the rules...
-realistic trades only. it has to make sense for all sides.
-Josh Smith is untouchable.
-a trade is a forgone conclusion. in other words, "I wouldn't trade him" isn't acceptable for the sake of the game.
So, that's it. What kind of consolation prize are you after? Personally, I've racked my brain trying to come up with a deal that I'd be happy with.....I got nothin'
