Greetings Pistons fans. Man! Our Pistons have been so inconsistent this season. They pick up big wins in tough places like Miami, Chicago and Indy yet come home and lose to teams like Charlotte, a Kobeless L.A. Lakers and yesterday's stinker to Memphis! Something needs to be done to save the season. Joe Dumars knows his job is on the line, after so many years of firing coach after coach, his job is the next to be on the chopping block. I was excited about the acquisition of Josh Smith this past summer, but something isn't working. Might an adjustment be in order in the form of trading either Smith or Greg Monroe to New York for Carmelo Anthony? Its no secret the Knicks are shopping Melo around. Its also no secret that Joe D. has always had a affinity for him and has tried unsuccessfully for years to get him. Now may be his best chance to do it. Melo is still in his prime and has at least 3-4 quality years left in him. He would give the Pistons that Superstar everybody wants around here and he would also give the Pistons a legitimate scorer and go to guy at crunch time. Having Melo will also give the Pistons more floor balance as he'll be your small forward, they guy you keep (Smith or Monroe) will be your power forward and Andre Drummond your center. What do you guys think? Should Joe make the trade for Melo? Or do you guys just wanna see the Pistons tank for the rest of the season and try and get one of those hot shot freshmen Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker? I personally hate that as you don't know if Wiggins or Parker will be any good as professionals. I rather have a proven commodity.
