Heading into the second half of the Season the Pistons currently stand a 1/2 game back of the Charlotte Bobcats for 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. With a recent coaching change and the NBA trade deadline looming do the Pistons have what it takes to climb the standings?
The remaining schedule for the Detroit Pistons is quite challenging as 9 of their next 10 games are against teams with playoff implications. The Pistons will have to do a win the next two games against the Bobcats to obtain the 8th seed and build some momentum heading into the latter stages of the season.
It is possible for the Pistons to make the playoffs this season. If the Pistons can tighten up on turnovers and Josh Smith plays smart on both ends of the court I like the Pistons chances. The Pistons have the talent to clinch their first playoff berth since 2009, it's all about taking care of the basketball and not blowing 4th quarter leads. If they can do that then us Pistons fans can have something to cheer about as the Pistons future looks to turn a new leaf.
