Four-Point Shot and a Bigger Court?

I found this on ESPN so take it how you want. Apparently NBA President of Basketball Operations Rod Thorne and Vice President Kiki Vandeweghe have discussed the NBA adding a four point line and a bigger court. The bigger court idea isn't completely ridiculous in my eyes. Vandeweghe says it is being considered because of the increasing athleticism and size of the players in the league. However, the four point line is completely ridiculous and should never be considered.

The reports of both of these ideas even being considered were quickly shot down by NBA Spokesman Tim Frank. It also sounds like nobody else from the league have even suggested these ideas or even considered them besides the two mentioned above. I saw the article and just thought how crazy the ideas sounded. If you want to read it here is the link: http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=10517078&src=desktop&ex_cid=null
