This is going to be a little bit of a rant, but I will try and keep the ranting to a minimum. I was reading on MLive earlier on the Will Bynum and Maurice Cheeks confrontation and came across this gem of a quote from the coach we all love.
"Cheeks admitted that – like many coaches – he'll give his starters a little more leeway when they make mistakes."
"That's been around a long time, been around for years," Cheeks said. "Starters sometimes get a little bit more leeway than guys come off the bench. That's the way it is. I'm probably a little bit harder on guards and point guards than normal because I think they have a huge impact on the game.
"So I'm probably a little bit harder on a point guard but I think their value is pretty special."
So he gives starters more leeway? Why don't you explain why Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope get pulled out of the game for long periods of time for making a mistake or two? While you have Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith chucking us out of games and making mistake after mistake. This is absolutely ridiculous how he can even say something like that. Young players make mistakes and they learn from them, this is a young team, so why would you pull out the young guys for mistakes and let Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith make this team the biggest joke in basketball? I know exactly why...MAURICE CHEEKS IS A FUCKING IDIOT, or as we like to say MCIAFI.
