The Joe Dumars era came to an unceremonious, and yet, inevitable end on Monday morning when the Pistons announced that the only representative of the team's three championships was stepping down from his duties, effective immediately. And thus, the onus is now on Tom Gores to find one of 'the best executives in the business' to take the Pistons back to glory.
Gores' broad search is only going to heat up now that the season is over, so we want to make sure you're on top of it. Below is a list of names that have been tossed around by various medias. We will profile some of our favorite names and have separate posts on names that receive legitimate interest from the Pistons, but we will also update this post as the search develops.
UPDATE: Pistons hire Jed Hughes to help with GM search.
UPDATE: Pistons plan to keep search and its timetable quiet
UPDATE: Pistons 'close' to hiring Stan Van Gundy to coach, lead front office
UPDATE: Pistons have agreement in place to make Stan Van Gundy coach, president of basketball operations
