NBA draft lottery results: Pistons lose first-round pick, will draft 38th overall

Barring a trade, the Detroit Pistons must wait until the second round before they make their first pick in the 2014 NBA Draft on June 26. When the Cleveland Cavaliers jumped from No. 9 to first overall at the NBA draft lottery, the Pistons forfeited their top-eight protected first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets, finally completing the ill-advised Ben Gordon salary dump of 2012.
