Chauncey Billups last season 2013 or 2014?

Chauncey Billups has a 2.5 million dollar team option this year. I guess this fan post will ask two questions? What would you as fans prefer and what will the front office do? Should Chauncey stay on for a year and get a true retirement season like Derek Jeter or should he kick off his front office career and free up a roster spot and the 2.5 million? I'm torn, Mr. Big Shot should get the pomp and circumstance of a retirement season but at this point he has no upside for the team on the court and I don't know, with the teams recent history if this would be enough to draw in the fans to give him a proper send off.

I'm not going to lie the open spot is tempting because I covet French SF Damien Inglis who draft express has going to Philly with the 39th pick ( which seems like it wouldn't be hard to get from Philly either by buying it or trading future 2nd rounders). With our own 38th pick I like Spencer Dinwiddie. So its a toss up. But I'm personally going with the latter. Well now that I put myself out there what say you?
