Possible trade packages for Greg Monroe.

The Pistons are in a difficult spot with Monroe with rumors of him accepting the QO, and with the current log jam of the 3 headed monster(Drummond, Greg, and Smith) so one option could he to take the best package to help the team in long term success.

1. Atlanta Hawks:

Hawks recieve Greg Monroe and Will Bynum, the Pistons would recieve one of the following packages; Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver(Atlanta would be shedding age and using a Greg and Al front court will receiving a quality backup pointguard, Detroit gets a quality stretch 4 and a starting 3) or Kyle Korver and Payne(keeping their front court in tact allowing them to search for a small forward with Al or Paul detroit gets a potential big man for the bench and an elite three point shooter)

2. GSW:

A Monroe for Barnes swap would be ideal in my opinion. Barnes can shoot, defend, and is athletic, all why retaining youth, Monroe would clog the paint in theory but with Bogut and Lee getting older monroe could replace either. Perhaps smaller contracts involved to balance the trades.

3. Knicks:

The Knicks expressed interest in Love for Amare, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Iman shumpert, it's clear they want to replace Tyson Chandler, Monroe could do just that. Now my preference would be Amare(22 mil expiring) and Iman Shumpert for his defense, athletism, and potential, he can also play the 3, hardaway would also be great but I believe they value him a lot more.

Any of these trade scenarios could instantly improve the Detroit Pistons and give SVG the team he needs for another playoff push, irregardless a trade is like to occur before the deadline, whether that be involving Greg or Josh, only time will tell.
