Cheaper Option for the Pistons

What is Markieff Morris's trade value at this point?

A protected first rounder? A duffle bag full of Spalding's? A bag of Hydrox Cookies?(Oreo's may be too much to surrender)

Markieff Morris wants out of Phoenix, and it's not exactly his fault. His issue is with the front office, who conned he and brother Marcus to accept deals far below their statistical values-- under the premise that they would be playing together.

Do you think he and Marcus would have signed for a combined $13 mil per season if not for that simple guarantee?

After throwing a towel at Jeff Hornacek recently, it's time for Suns GM Ryan McDonough to do the same with Kieff. It's not that Markieff is a horrible teammate... PHOENIX IS A DUMPSTER FIRE!! The Suns cannot hold onto Morris for much longer! It has effectively destroyed team chemistry and left fans just as disappointed as the twins were when McDonough split them apart, over the pipe-dream of landing LaMarcus Aldridge.

McDonough pulled the equivalent of flirting with another woman in front of his wife, kicking said wife's twin sister out of their home in hopes of moving his new interest in, and now wonders why she wants him out of the house--now that the interest has rejected him.

How would exchanging a first round pick for Markieff Morris benefit the Pistons?

1) You have Marcus playing great ball, already. Reuniting the twins would only make both happy.

2) If Stan can convince them to come off of the bench and play 20-30 mins a night, you now have a spot in the starting lineup to plug Stanley Johnson into. They can play both Markieff and Marcus Morris on the court at the same time, with Brandon Jennings, Aron Baynes, and (hopefully) a healthy Jodie Meeks bolstering a strong second unit.

3) The Morris twins are a steal at roughly $13 mil per season combined. Van Gundy would still have a lot of cap to work with this summer, before giving Andre Drummond his extension. They can afford to upgrade from Ersan Illyasova to Ryan Anderson, this coming offseason. Imagine that squad.

4) They now have the means to market this franchise based on a Bad Boys renaissance, of sorts.

5) It would probably cost the Pistons a protected first round pick. Phoenix isn't really in position to ask for a whole lot in return. first round pick becomes a late first round pick if the move puts the Pistons over as title contenders. it justifies moving multiple firsts- in order to do so.

Even if the deal doesn't work out, the Pistons can still move them both because of their relatively cheap cap figures.

When reward far exceeds the risk....
