If we blow it all up

So if SVG decides to blow up the Drummond/Jackson duo here is a scenario I came up with...

Detroit Trades: Andre Drummond, Henry Ellenson and their 2017 NBA pick

Phoenix Trades: Marquese Chriss, Alex Len, PJ Tucker and their 2017 NBA pick.

Why? Detroit moves Drummond & his cap, gets Chriss a potential PF stud, and a top 3-4 NBA pick. Save $10m in cap space for 2017. Ellenson is not as good as Chriss and would be expendable with Chriss on the roster.

Phoenix gets a young piece to add to Booker and Bender. Moves Chandler to backup. Only give up Chriss and move back 6-10 spots in a loaded draft. Ellenson can slot in behind Bender and has potential.

Then...

Detroit Trades: Reggie Jackson, Michael Gbinije and 2018 1st round pick (protected top 8).

Philly Trades: Jahil Okafor, Sergio Rodriguez and either the 76ers or the Kings 1st round pick.

Why? Detroit moves Reggie, his contract, get a good young center who is super cheap, another $10m in space for 2017 and a top 8 pick (both Philly and Sacremento suck so it's basically a guaranteed top 8 pick). Future pick is protected.

Philly has a glut of centers and no guards. They still keep the 3rd pick from the LAK so they can still add a young player. Also, get a future draft pick from a rebuilding team.

So Detroit goes into next year with Okafor and Marjonovic at the C, Chriss, Leuer at the 4, Harris and Morris as SFs, KCP, Stanley Bullock as SGs, and Ish at the point. They also have two top 10 picks which currently are projected as the 2nd pick (Phoenix) and the 6th (Philly).

At 2, I would take either Ball or Fultz (whichever doesn't go 1) and plug him in as my starting PG. At 6 they go with either an elite wing (Josh Jackson) or a 3 point shooting C (Lauri Markkanen). Both help the team immensely and give SVG a young core. Oh and with some leftover cap space (after KCP's re-signs) you can fill either the center depth issue (if they draft a wing) with a FA like Noel or vice versa with someone like Korver.

A future Ball, KCP, Jackson, Chriss, Okafor starting lineup is ridiculous and super young. The 2nd unit would be Ish, Stanley, Morris, Harris, and Noel. That's an insane 10 man rotation.

It'd suck to rebuild again but I think it's better than staying mediocre for a couple more seasons.
