The pistons will win 71 and lose 11. I am basing this on their continued luck with no injuries. This team is so much fun to watch as they truly dont care who will score. Go STONES!

I think they will get to 68 wins. They have yet to have an injury and the odds are one in the starting 5 is going to be injured at some point. I see a little mini slide after the all star break..then a streak going into the playoffs...and then we win it all...not losing more than 3 games along the way...

Conservative guess... 64-18.
Optimistic guess... 69-13

Split the difference and you get 66 or 67 wins

Think about, other than the Dallas blowout, the Pistons should be 39-1. At worse the Pistons should be 37-3 - I'll give Utah only one of those games, and Cleveland played well enough to get credit for that win. Therefore, I honestly can say the Pistons have a shot at winning 74 games. There, I said it: 74-8.

In the past few years they started off slow, but then finished with an unbelievable record. If you consider 35-5 slow, then 39-3 should be their "no playing around now" mode.

I think it's likely that they'll lose 15 games, but i hope i'm wrong. I saw the pistons beat up on the knicks at the garden last week, spike lee and fat joe left by halftime, awesome.

I really want to say 70-12, but I think (slightly) more realistically, 68-14.

I'm guessing conservative, say 65 wins...an injury, or desperate teams just trying to get in the playoffs at the end of the year may steal a win or two...

call me even more crazy. tomorrow is the halfway point of the season for the pistons. they will have played 41 games. if they win, their record will be: 36-5. Projected over the season? 72-10.

Right now, the Pistons are heavy favorites in every game they play. Even on an poor night, it takes a team playing absolutely out of their minds (or being from Utah) to beat them. They've said that if they get in reach, they'll go for 70 (or more?). Can anyone else see them losing more than 10 in the remaining 42 games playing average piston basketball? That would put them at 67-15. Add a couple of those games like the most recent one in Milwaukee, when they could have given up, but didn't, I can see them getting to 70, maybe even the fabled 72.

They've got a series of games to close the season against teams that will most-likely be fighting for a playoff spot. At that point, health and experience for the playoff newcomers will be more important than overall record. My guess: 67-15.
