NY Post: Four Piston All-Stars

Not to be outdone by the NY Daily News, the NY Post’s Peter Vecsey has revealed the entire Eastern Conference All-Star lineup ahead of today’s announcement. Piston fans will be happy to know that in addition to Chauncey, Rip, and Ben, Rasheed Wallace (whom Chauncey calls the team’s MVP) has also made the squad. The lineup according to Vecsey is as follows.

    Starters

Lebron
Jermaine O’Neal (injured, replacement to be chosen by David Stern)
Dwayne Wade
AI
Kazaam

    Reserves

Chauncey
Rip
Ben
Sheed
Vince Carter
Chris Bosh
Paul Pierce

Could we be on the verge of seeing defense and team-play in the All-Star game? (Surely the guys at Free Darko need to look into the cultural rammifications of this possibility.) And will Flip take Chad Ford’s advice and sub all four Pistons into the game midway through the first quarter?

Finally, we have an All-Star game worth watching.

It is my belief that all Lakers vs. Heat matchups should henceforth be billed Mamba vs. Kazaam.

Agreed completely. I’ve already forgotten Kazaam’s real name (if he ever had one).

Wow — I knew Rasheed was deserving, but I figured with other guys putting up better numbers his only way of getting on the team was through Godfather Stern. If this is true, this is sweet! I can’t ever remember a team sending four players and a coach to the game.
