The "wine and gold"–as the Cavs are referred to by their announcers (whom I was forced to on NBA League Pass)–answered my questions about their toughness by playing the Pistons close for three quarters. Zydrunas Ilgauskas even exacted a bit of revenge for Sheed's skull-cracking, knocking him to the floor with a hard foul in the first half (which sent the Cavs' broadcast team's hearts all aflutter). But, alas, in true championship form, the Pistons clamped down in the fourth and drained the Cavs of their will to live. Ben's performance against the Cavs Sunday was simply unreal. If he doesn't win defensive player of the year, I'll go nuts. It will be interesting to see what happens if LeBron comes out a little slow at home tonight. Go Pistons! Also, I'm starting up a blog on sports in general, but as a Detroit fan you can bet I'll have a fair share of Pistons stuff on there.
