I loved Wieme’s take on rivalries (or the lack thereof) in today’s NBA. I remember thinking that there would be a fight during every Pistons/Celtics game back in the mid- to late-80s. I just don’t feel that similar intensity between any two teams these days (aside from the Pistons/Pacers flare-up, not since the old Heat/Knicks days).

Don’t get me wrong, I still hate today’s top opponents when they step on the floor against the Pistons, but the lack of dislike between players quells it just a bit.

Thanks for the complements, but I had the easy part — it was Dave that came through with such interesting (and honest) answers. It would have been easy to go with a canned response to a couple of those questions, but he really let his opinion shine through, which was awesome.

Job well done!

It seems hard to remember that not that long ago we were actually clipping news articles, literally running around dropping off stats & using carbon paper. That just seems like alot of work! No wonder people dont’ get enough exercise these days……the world is a fingerstips reach away.

Totally interesting getting a behind the scenes viewpoint.
