[...] See what number Stuckey is wearing? It’s No. 3 … the same No. 3 that used to be pretty popular around these parts. [...]

FYI, from the Freep: Arn Teller will be paid hourly. Most agents, especially agents that represent superstars like Teller, wouldn't accept a deal like that unless they knew they were going to be simply dotting the i's and crossing the t's and not doing hardball negotiating with several teams.

I wouldn't read a lot into this. Teams would have made offers to Ben with or without an agent. By bringing in an agent, he has someone with experience to look at them and offer expertise.

Ben got rid of his previous agent over a "trust" issue. The agreement was that he would be accepting a flat fee to perform due diligence. However, the agent tried to sneak in a % take based off of the value of the deal, and Ben gave him a Mutombo cookie monster voice, NO NO NO, complete with finger wag.

It's like using a lawyer to represent you in a case pursuing damages or hiring that same lawyer flat rate to complete and advise on paperwork.

I feel like I am writing this twice (because I am) but we'll get the spin from Auburn Hills through the beat writers early next week. Whether or not it is released what role Tellum is playing will determine how rampant the speculation becomes.

Joe promised to take care of his guys. He promised to pay for both back and future service. And he guaranteed to make Ben the richest Piston either.

Don't give the Bulls fans hope.
