Because the Pistons lost that game. By two points. But won the series. In six games.
The Pistons need to be resilient, and over the next couple of days a lot of people will probably remind you how Detroit went down 3-2 against Miami before charging back. But truth be told, we probably are witnessing something greater than that.
This is LeBron James’ coming out party. He is taking his game to the next level. He will be the next great superstar for at least the next decade, if not two.
But this is LBJ’s 1989. And that season ended pretty nicely for the Pistons the first time around.

History never actually repeats itself, although it MAY sometimes appear to. Michael Jordan won SIX NBA titles with the Bulls, it is still very possible that LeBron may never get any, I think he probably will, but anyone who suggests just the talent of an individual alone will get you a bunch of rings is not really paying attention. It is also just possible he is an early developer, he certainly looks mature for his age so maybe he will hit the ceiling sooner. The word potential is a dangerous one with regards to sport, if he hasn’t won a title in the next five years people will just be regarding him as a very good player, not God.
