[...] Earlier this month, Carlos Delfino gave an interview to a Spanish-language newspaper that seemed to suggest that he wanted out of Detroit for lack of playing time. I say "seemed to suggest" because we never received a conclusive translation, but whether or not that's actually what he meant is somewhat of a moot point as Joe Dumars already went on the record earlier this summer saying he has no plans to trade him.
I like the mention of Zaza Pachulia- he's young, but he's a surprisingly talented FC with strength in offense. He was sixth in the league in offensive boards last year, and as he grows I can see him becoming quite a player-- he can shoot, he can keep the offense going, and he can be a strong force on the defensive end.

Offensive board stats, 2005-6:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/byposition?pos=PG,SG,G,GF,SF,PF,F,FC,C&conference=NBA&year=season_2005&sort=34

Check out his game log- near the end of the season, he was quite a big player:

While I'm lamenting the fact we didn't grab Brevin Knight instead of Flip Murray, I'd be really excited about a big trade for Pachulia...

Joe better make this more clear. We've signed Murray and Dupree when we already have people that can fill those positions. We need a backup pg. Not a chucker or Dupreee.

Am I the only one finding a hard time following this reasoning?

Dupree is not very good. His signing somehow makes Carlos Delfino expendable?

If we trade for Al-Harrington, he's a forward. We need a bloody center!

This doesn't make any sense, but then that has been Joe's theme this offseason.
