The unofficial 2007 Pistons trailer

Soak up the melodrama, people. This one’s titled, “The Meaning of Heart”:

I don’t know about “The Meaning of Heart” — the video was fine and all, but the title sounds a little too much like a Nicholas Sparks novel than a bad-ass sports movie. Any better ideas? I’m thinking about something like a three-word Steven Segal title: “Forget the ‘Fro”, “Revenge Served Cold,” or “Prince Over King.”

I don’t think this trailer is going for Steven Segal. The text and the music is from “The Lord of the Rings.” Which means that your title “Prince Over King” could still work… But I think the larger question is, if this is Middle Earth, who is Frodo and who is Aragorn? Tayshaun and Chauncey? Sheed as the hobbit comic relief or the oracle speaking (game guaranteeing) elf? Joe Dumars as Gandalf works pretty well I think!

i think some of the music is from Pirates of the Carribbean as well… you’re definitely right about the text. i think we might want to know who is frodo and who is sam:) I think it’s safe to say that Ben is Boromir. Although now that I think about it, Frodo helped “take care of the ring” but then left and went “into the west” hmm. maybe that would work for Ben. Plus the ring corrupts Frodo the longer he has it… yes it’s all working out. Maybe Boromir is more like Chucky Atkins: gets the axe (or the arrow) but helps the fellowship move forward.

Maybe a better title would be “Return for the Rings.”

Well, yeah, this video definitely has a fantasy warrior/LOTR-type feel to it — I just meant coming up with a new title for the upcoming season as a whole, not coming up with a new title for the video. Though I do like the analogies you two are coming up with…

(And even though I poked fun for it being melodramatic, the video is certainly well put together — I do wish I knew how to do stuff like that. In the meantime, thank goodness for YouTube.)
