I am glad to see Chauncey emerge as the leader and new face of the Detroit Pistons. As previously stated, he does remind you of a more outspoken Joe Dumars. He's a cross between Joe and Isiah Thomas. I just hope that all the press and attention does not cause dissention in the ranks of the other players. Rip Hamilton and other guys need to really embrace this change and show everyone that Ben was an important part of the Pistons, but not the entire team.

Let's face it, Chauncey is so much better looking than Big Ben (and I love Ben). It appears that hard work (let's go to work)does not have to make you look so tired

TBSGC -- I know what you mean: that's exactly how I felt about the Tigers. I knew they were doing well, but when the Pistons got the boot in the playoffs it was like, whoa, the Tigers are doing awesome!

Well, just under 6 hours to game time. I can't wait to sit down with some cold beers and see just what is going to happen tonight. I am very curious to see how the team defense will be without Ben. As much as I like Chauncey and some of the other guys, Ben was definitely my favorite player. I can say right now that I will definitely be paying more attention to the Bulls this year because of him.

It is kind of strange that the Pistons season already starts tonight. With the Tigers playing the way they did I paid 0 attention to the NBA so far. Here's to an excellent season!

In the News article, Chauncey said you can't learn leadership, either you got it or you don't. You could tell all along, he got it.

I like Ben (you like Ben, everybody likes Ben, you gotta like Ben), but I have a feeling the season will be nice and "Smooth" with Chauncey as the leader of the team.

I certainly hope you're wrong, Carey. If I had to choose one guy from the team I'd like to see stay the rest of his career, for me, it's Chauncey. The team would just feel so, I don't know, different, without him as the face and he's like a Dumars-in-training.

I think Mr. Big Shot is a real pro. He gave Sanders all the backing in the world last season. Yes I am still a Ben Wallace fan, but he turned out to be a real cry baby. He even pulled a not so classy move a few weeks ago when he made his remarks about Flip. I watched the Heat and Bulls and Ben did the same things that he did here. He was crying about all the jumps shots in Detroit, but the Bulls are a a jump shooting team like the Pistons. i think there was a little beef between Chanucey and Ben, However I think it more about the money. Mr. Big shot will be gone after this year. So we will be talking Tay taking on this role as a leader next year.
