[...] I've talked about Rip Hamilton's increased free-throw attempts a couple of times already. Either I'm not the only one who noticed (which is most likely) or Krista Jahnke of the Free Press reads DBB (which is still possible). From today's Pistons Corner: Last season, [Hamilton] also added three-point shooting, in which he led the league in shooting percentage, and defensive toughness to his repertoire.
The most impressive thing to me in the Memphis game was Rasheed's energy on both ends of the court. Not only did he do a nice job at the offensive end, he blocked several shots and altered many more, most notably causing Mike Miller to miss a layup. You expect missed layups in a high school game, but not in the NBA, all the credit goes to Sheed on that one.

It is good to see Carlos Delfino playing well also. I think that he can really give the Pistons a spark off of the bench offensively. We sorely missed that last year, especially if McDyess is struggling.

As for Lindsay Hunter, I don't think you can expect him to be much of a scorer. As a matter of fact, I think if you count on Hunter to score you are in a lot of trouble. The thing that I love about Hunter is how he can come in and man up on someone defensively and create havoc in the flow of the opponents offense. Unfortunately for Hunter, he may not get a chance to do that for an offensive minded coach like Flip. Hunter is a great role player, and you cannot realisitically expect him to be anything other than that.

ugh, if you clicked that link saying that Delonte is looking for love you would expect a good picture of him...I'm changing my vote, my first and second place vote for ugliest player in the NBA is Delonte West.

It was a solid game last night against the Memphis Gristle...Let's be honest though, they didn't have Pau in the game. Sheed needs to keep himself under control, and I'm happy to see Maxiell getting some serious PT.

My buddy Cav over at Yaysports! isn't enjoying me keeping it real on his blogs...

Nice recap Matt. I like what I see from Rip and Nazr so far. Maxiel is making Joe D look like a god. One thing you failed to mention about Rip is the rebs he been trying to get. He had 4 agaist Boston and 6 last night. We are still a little weak inside on the defensive end. I hope its gets better.
