Of course you didn’t, because it doesn’t exist… yet. DBB reader Fred showed me a note about how TNT’s David Aldridge mentioned Detroit might have an interest in Zach Randolph. It was the first I’d heard of it, and my first reaction was to laugh it off.
Then I got to playing around with some numbers, and, huh … a deal for Randolph might just work. I admit, I pulled it out of thin air, but this is what I came up with. Take this with a grain of salt as it’s the result of an idle mind left to wander, but I truly believe that Joe has some kind of deal up his sleeve. Whether or not it’s a big one like I’m not sure, but it’s fun conversation.
Update: Whoops! David Aldridge never uttered such a thing.
That would be nice, Zach could once again be that missing piece for another title.
Zo Bo back in Michigan? Wow that would be cool, but who would we have to give-up? He is having a great season thus far. He even made co-captain. Nazr and Carlos for Zo Bo and move Sheed to C and ZO Bo at the PF. Do it!!!!! The way Dale has been playing we could make that move, plus it would make more playing time for Mad Max.
There are 29 teams in the NBA that would be — at least — intrigued by Zach Randoph, especially at any price the Pistons could offer.
That said, DA is a personal favorite and one of the most respected basketball journalists on the planet, and so I refuse to immediately call this bullshit.
