Ironic that there’s no comments (reaction) to a post about Ben wanting a reaction. Well, here’s to Ben. He’s a good man. I wish him well in his exile and wish it didn’t have to be this way. That said, it does seem like we dodged a bullet on his contract, even if he took 4/48.
I’m actually glad Ben is gone. It’s a shame to see the centerpiece of the “let’s go to work” period of the Pistons leave, but as always, Joe D will find a way to make things ok.
Next to go is either Sheed or Chauncey. Unfortunately we like to see our stars stay forever but with the way the stupid salary cap is set up in the NBA, these guys hold the most value of anyone not named Prince or Hamilton on the roster, so while their value is high I say if there’s another “Stackhouse for Hamilton” type move, I say we make it (only minus hamilton, and of course minus Stack… we love you Stack for getting us a ring in 2k4)…
Had I been at the game, I probably would have cheered his introduction and boo’ed him during the game. I know that’s kind of wanting it both ways, but I respect what he did for the franchise, even if he eventually made himself Public Enemy No. 1.
