Please excuse the lack of posts — like many of you, I’m out of town this weekend — but feel free to leave your thoughts on the game in the comments.

i’m not out of town. i’m at work. all weekend. and the pistons suddenly can’t keep the ball safe. banner day thus far.
i’m just going to watch jason maxiell dunking mixes on youtube until this is over.
Varejao with 2 fouls? I’m a fan of that…
Sympathy, JackDutch. But maybe you’re a good luck charm. The Pistons are actually putting together a solid 2nd quarter.
Delfino! Our bench has showed up to play. The best is they aren’t settling for shots, Flip and Carlos are taking the Cavs off the dribble. Dice is hitting shots. This has been a good game so far.
Solid half. 3 point deficit? That’s ok. Solid second half and we gots ‘em.
i would say being within 3 at the half with both rip and chauncey shooting an 0fer and turning the ball over 4 times between them is a good thing. unless they continue on this horrid pace. then it would be a bad thing.
Start Flip Murray in the second half! Chauncey is just out of it mentally.
good to see mcydess and cwebb get their strokes back. hope they can keep it going with the HORRID performance of our all star starting backcourt.
Looks like the Cavs are playing the “Chauncey” rules… they’re really going after him.
We’ll probably win this series but the Cavs are giving the Spurs a blueprint for how to shut down this Piston offense.
It’s looking bad.
Is it just me or do you think “lucky” every time Lebron hits a jumper down the stretch. He just doesn’t have the aura that Wade, Jordan or Bird have.
Quick Darshan: I totally agree. Maybe it’s because his form is a bit funny, and he’s always fading or doing some weird contortion? Kind of like Vince — if he hits the shot, it’s like, “Oh, well that’s Vince/LeBron…” but if he misses you’re not surprised, either.
Man, I am hating Lebron with a special hatred…
The Lebron James scowl he does it rather pathetic.
On a side note.. can someone tell Chauncey to wake the f up and get aggresive for 48 minutes and stop commiting tunrovers like he is passing out girl scout cookies
Tough loss but the Cavs seemed like they were shooting about 100% down the stretch… they can’t count on that every game.
I suppose you have to give it up to the “king”, as the son-of-a-bitch actually hyped Cleveland up enough to take one. We’ll see how he feels when we go back to the Palace 3-1.
I was out of town too, just finished watching the game. (thanks DVR!!) A curious lack of Maxiell, what the hell? I liked Flip Murray’s contribution, as well as McDyess, but I think Max needs some run. He played well in game two, we needed that boost in game 3, at least I thought so.
No worries though, we still have it in hand. Could you imagine Rip and Chauncey actually hitting some shots? I can, and it will be spectacular!
Manu Ginobili is an a-hole. Sorry to stray off topic, but I just struggled through watching Game 4 of the WCF. I didn’t realize that Derek Fisher had the reputation of a cheapshot artist, I mean, he has to have that reputation with the weak first T he received with the inadvertent(sp?) bump of Ginobili going back down the court. Then he got his 2nd T on the foul at the end of the game where he looked at Manu after he flopped on the floor after getting hit ON HIS HAND!
Seriously, technicals need to be called on floppers. Everyone talks about how boring Detroit and San Antonio are to watch, but noone really wants to watch a bunch of floppers on the floor. One thing I’ve always respected about Detroit is their ability to take a bump and not fall on the floor. You know it’s Detroit’s style because Ben Wallace didn’t start flopping until he went to Chicago. Call it “taking a charge”, but I call it flopping. I don’t know who’s more of an a-hole, Anderson Varejao or Manu Ginobili. Both of them are overly dramatic, it takes away from the game.
Those Ginobli flops were absolutely ridiculous. Fisher was clearing staring him down because of the flop, not because he was trying to be all hard.
Bet you would love to have Varejao on your team. Then you would say how smart he is to take those charges. Flopper or not, I am taking Ginobli on my team, and how often does it actually happen in a game?? Once, twice?? C’mon Piston fan don’t you have something else more significant to be critical of?
Varejao whether you like him flopping or not, is a high energy player that Webber cannot cover. Nor can he get him (Varejao) off the boards. He defends pretty well, and gets his hands dirty, maybe rather than being a hater your Pistons can learn a little from his fire and determination.
If LaBron drives to the hole and one of your players flops and gets a call going the other way are you then going to say how much you hate your player for selling a foul?
C’mon…oh I forgot you guys only know hockey. Piston b-ball is just something for you to do now that your hockey team failed again.
