i agree..the key to the cavs victory in all of the 3 games they won was lebron driving hard to the hoop. i think the pistons' bigs should do the same instead of settling for low percentage fade away jumpers.that should wear out the cavs big men or at least give them foul trouble..they really should also defend lebron more agressively and not allow him to drive hard to the rim..make him earn his shots the hardest or roughest way possible..

There's no way I want Flip Saunders and his offense any further than this year. The Pistons have played up to potential for 2 Chicago wins . . . and of 15 games, they've been lackluster. Poor execution of plays is a testament to Cleveland's strengths on defense . . . they take away the perimeter like Detroit does . . . but for substitutions, matchups, and crunch time calls, it seems like Flip doesn't have the right answers.

No offense to Cleveland fans, but history's missing a little fact . . . Detroit's showed up for none of the 5 games. Detroit's a better team, top to bottom . . . but it's very possible that Flip's system cannot adjust to the perimeter being taken away, and Flip can't seem to stress the bigs attacking Cleveland's interior defense. Rasheed and McDyess and Webber would rather stop short on post-ups than attack their basket until Cleveland holds up the white flag. They settle for too many low percentage shots, and that's a sign that Flip's grip isn't there. You think Larry Brown would have been happy with Rasheed, in one of their last possessions, pulling up on a crucial shot for a low-percentage fadeaway, only to miss? Then Rasheed has the audacity to COMPLAIN that he wasn't given the benefit of the call? Where was his aggression to the basket? If he drives that lane, he gets a call, not when he's on a fade jumper!

I just now finished watching the game. (had a softball game I had to get to at halftime) Well, I'm glad I set the DVR to record the next TWO shows, but I am for sure disappointed in the results. Blaming the defense works, as do the numerous no-calls, but simply being beat by the best player in the series is not the real answer here. I sure wish the Pistons would play to their potential in the next (2) games, but I suppose that is asking an awful lot.

Time for another beer and then bed.

Q

PS: I thought we had a win for sure when they showed Chuck "Daddy Rich" Daly in the stands. Damn!

I agree about Flip Saunders, I questioned him since he started as our coach. Face it, the pistons probably could make it to the postseason without a coach. We have so much potential, but it gets used in the wrong way.

I guess my point is we shouldn't have this hard of time defeating them. Yes I know Lebron was godly in OT, but with a little better decisions we wouldn't even had to have to force overtime before he caught on fire. His whole team did almost nothing in both rounds of OT, and we still let get that many shots off?

I think their coach is smarter than ours, plain and simple. Lebron doesn't help our chances either. I almost would like to lose this series, I want some changes. I'm tired of even watching this. We barely scraped by the first two games, they barely made it through their next two wins. We played pretty good finally and still get beat by Lebron all by himself.

Even if we scrap out this series winning the next two games like last year. Theres no way were beating the Spurs.

Id put money on them in game 6. Look how much the NBA is benefitting from helping the cavs remain, and now take the lead, in the series. A game 7 would be great for ratings, im sure after the last 3 they feel that they can have the cavs win game 7 in Detroit.

Went back to the archives from May 17th of last year to read all the depressing comments and voices of defeat. Some of you even congratulated the Cavs on winning the series after Game 5 last year... but you know what? It wasn't over then and it ain't over now.

Maybe this is cheesy and simplistic but... we're just fans! The Pistons need to go back to Cleveland with faith in themselves and their ability to take back this series. How about finding a way to muster up some faith amongst the fans?

Well was a good season. I think the thing that would make me happiest next game is to let Amir play and let him get some good minutes in. Cant hurt can it? Would rather get him a little playoff experience then sit there and watch all our "vets" play and still lose. Im just hoping Joe D can work some more magic and get us in shape next season because no matter who wins this series theres no way the Pistons or Cavs can match the Spurs the way they are playing, least it doesnt appear that way.
