Being 100% fair, most people expressed a serious amount of sadness for several days... read all the comments and you'll notice that they only get saucy near the end.

ALSO in the interest of being 100% fair, this article isn't about the tragic collapse of a bridge that claimed several (seven last I'd heard) lives. It's an article about how a bumbling NBA coach with bad hair MIGHT have normally been on said bridge when the tragedy occured (But wasn't, and wouldn't HAVE been without driving through a closed ramp sign) and his incredibly NORMAL (and thus completely un-newsworthy) feelings of helplessness in the face of said tragedy. Don't confuse the forest with the trees.

Finally, and yes this is again in the interests of being 100% fair. Stop being a dink, the fact that I have no class has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the people who run this blog. You want to yell at someone, yell at me, i wrote the damn joke not Matt. This isn't a free speach/censorship issue.

g: I don't agree with the tone of all of the comments here, but I honestly have no idea what you're referring to about deleting comments. The only time I ever pay extra attention to moderation is when a fan from an opposing team leaves a hit-and-run comment during the playoffs, but those are easy to spot since they're usually in all-caps, include mostly profanity and contain 21 exclamation marks.

I'm happy for Flip and family, sorry for the loss of those lost in MN, and happy it wasn't much worse. Now back to basketball...

Elton Brand ruptured his achilles tendon. He's an unrestricted free agent in '08. I wonder how that effects his value? It's possible that Brand won't play at all this season. Brand would be a GREAT fit for the Pistons. I wonder if the Clippers will consider trading him while he is injured if they don't think they are going to resign him in order to get something for him instead of losing him for nothing.

Flip is one lucky dude. Glad to hear that he narrowly missed it all. I feel for those that died and those affected by it. May god be with them.

Not to be heartless, but the new game in town is the "I missed the bridge by x minutes" game. The truth is that there were relatively few cars on the bridge, and that the likelihood of being on the bridge was remote, regardless of circumstance.

I say this knowing that one of my friends literally collapsed with the bridge and survived unscathed, but if you believe the hype, about 75% of Minneapolis "just missed" being on the bridge. This kind of story is annoying, not that it is your fault for re-running it.

As much as I don't care for his sideline ability, I do wish him good health and fortune. Although, the "DAMN" was tempting.
