Well, I played 2k8 and couldn't guard Billups while contesting his layups with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. So, they need to work on making 2k8 more realistic, like not rating Yi for windmill dunks.

As I was reading the end of this comment thread regarding player ratings, I thought to myself "what a bunch of nerds" and then I responded to myself "but I've been kind of holding off on buying Live 08 or 2K8 because of the disrespect Maxiell got in 07, and the disrespect Amir might get in 08"

77 actually. Same rating as Dice. Stuckey got a 75 and is quick and the best ball handler on the pistons.

Thanks alot Matt,

Also, what is Maxiell and Stuckey rating in the game...for some reason, i got a hunch that they gave Maxiell a disrespecting rating of like 69 overall.

No not crazy good. Hes only like a 72 overall but I can shoot threes with him. But he's solid player but only 6'9.

Matt: Does Amir have crazy good ratings in 28K? His "potential" rating level must be at least 3000!

Judging from Hieu's previous comments, he's being sarcastic (or is just insane). I think his last post had Stern simply handing over the Larry O'Brien.

Flip's comments after the game made it seem like he was putting the rookies in a position to struggle. Perhaps, as motivation.

yeah, certainly no time to panic. their starting 5 had 15 turnovers. ours had 3. even at the sheed/gooden double tech, pistons were up well into double digits. oh yeah, and it's the 2nd preseason game.

Time to panic? The leaders in minutes played were Jarvis Hayes and Dwayne Jones.

Through two games, Stuckey is shooting 50%. That single number will say more about where the Pistons are at than anything else that happens in the preseason, unless Billups and Prince pull a Vinnie/Dantley in the preseason and spend the first half in whatever Busby Berkley musical Gerald Wallace was dancing to for the 'Cats last year.

Maxiell has proven his value in playoff games. He's a known commodity. We're playing with dealer money when it comes to Spellcheck, so I'll gladly take to the bank his six rebounds and repeated trips to the line. The outcome of the games are irrelevant at this juncture.

Also, Sheed did look very emotional during the game. Towards the end of his stretch of playing time, it did seem like he was attacking Drew Gooden more aggressively.

And NBA 2k8 looks great! Does anyone know who is on the Pistons' Roster?

"Did anyone else find that Afflalo’s missed dunk was the perfect finisher to how the bench struggled?"

I kind of laughed, i was like "ooo, what a steal!?!" and then he bricked the dunk...lol

Why panic? All this game was, was just another "glorified" practice.

I was pretty pleased the way the Pistons' starting line-up played, they made adjustments to Lebron and shut him down in 3rd quarter. Not only that, the starters left the game with a 15-16 point lead handing the game to the younger guys.

Nazr played great, he is still impressing me everytime i see him play. It really seems like he is more comfortable playing this year than he did last year, maybe its because his role has reduced tremendously since last year. I also hope he is ok, he went down with a lower leg injury, i believe someone mentioned it was a calf injury. I hope it aint serious.

I didnt see Flip play, dont know why they didnt have him active.

Through less than half way through the 3rd till the rest of the game (including OT), the Pistons played VERY small. And just to give you an idea, Jason Maxiell was basically playing Center. So we werent getting alot of rebounds which let the Cavs get back into the game and Turnovers didnt help our cause either. The Line-up was basically Stuckey, Afflalo, Dupree, Hayes and Maxiell (even into Overtime). And i SERIOUSLY doubt Flip would have that type of line-up decide any games for us during regular season, so i wouldnt panic one bit.

Everyone off the bench seemed to play well with atleast one starter on the court (starters to me would include Nazr too). It was when they went to the Ultra small line-up it seemed like they had trouble getting into rhythm and leader to follow.

Also, for those of you interested: I was very pleased to ACTUALLY see the Cavs play Shannon Brown. Unfortunately, after seeing him play i could see why they DONT play him...lol BUT eventually (after about a million mistakes) he did warm-up and was one of the main reasons we lost tonight, hitting a huge 3 in overtime kind of sealed the deal.
