It’s more Davis’s streak scoring ability to be honest with you. When the guy is on a roll he’s one of the better players in the league. Just not the kinda player I’d want to begin a career against. I do understand the alternative would be Wade (which would be worse of course) but you know ya sorta want the new guys to get a couple soft pitches early to build confidence. Davis can tortch even elite defenders when his shot is falling.

PG4L, I don’t know if you are being sarcastic, but if Afflalo is a good defender, he should be able to frustrate Davis (if he is not, Davis can put up very big numbers). Should be a decent litmus test, to the extent that one game can be a litmus test.

reports from WDFN say that rip hamilton will not be playing in the season opener against the heat. it is reported that aaron afflalo will be in the starting lineup.

Rasheed does have a great inside-outside game but he needs to play fewer games where he leaves the inside half at home. I know the season is a long grind but I’d rather see 25 minutes of night of Mr. Wallace busting his ass inside and out than see 35 minutes a night of him hanging outside and chucking threes. I know Rasheed is a veteran who can turn it on and off to some extent but his turning “inside ‘Sheed” off has terrible consequences for the other 4 players on the court and makes Detroit a poor rebounding team with no inside game.
