Chris McConduit should realize that bloogers have already surpassed most journalists when it comes to providing credible information. Remember the George Bush army service scandal -- several bloggers found and reported the truth and an icon of journalism Mike Wallace had to resign or was fired. During the Iraq and Lebanon wars - bloggers constantly called out and corrected journalists like NY Times, CNN nd others.

For sports, nothing beats blogs run by true fans such as this blog, need4sheed and Detroit Piston website blogs. I would much rather read these blogs then Chris McConduit and when I do I become much more informed and entertained.

The Detroit news missed the boat by having mere journalists blog instead of calling upon fans who truly care and have no outside agendas to blog for them

Unrelated but...

Wow was that Dallas/Houston game lights out until the end of the fourth. Dallas really took over in crunch time (which suprised me to be honest) but the game overall was incredible. Very glad I watched.

Yao is finally getting how to attack the glass without getting into foul trouble. No clue if he can keep it up but both times I've seen him this year he's looked WAY better at rebounding in general.

Congrats, Rip (if you read this)! As a new dad myself, I can totally relate to this story. Things definitely don't always go as planned, even if that means putting a hold on oral hygiene.

I don't think there's much to be said. I go out of my way to read D-double-bizzle, and the only time I read McCloskey is when his work is linked to through this site or NFS. About the only person I read in the main papers is Jahnke.

I threw up a tiny post here last night -- perhaps I should bump it from the alley-oop sidebar to the main column to give it more attention. At best, it's a bunch of cliches; at worst, it's just plain wrong. But believe me, I do have feelings about this, probably stronger than most, but I'm not surprised.

Hey Matt,

Chris McConduit is throwing darts at bloggers. I am sure you reas the article. What's with the no response??

Considering you guys are the PREMIER PISTON blog on the web, don't you think you owe it to the blog community to respond in some way? OR should we read your silence on the topic as an approval of his sentiments?

The Hoopsworld connection didn't stop him from blasting blogs, and you by extension, so I think that allows you the liberty to respond.

Best Regards,
The Allrights
