No big surprise, but the Pistons figure to be shorthanded again tonight. From Chris McCosky’s Detroit News blog:
Chauncey Billups looked more game-ready at shootaround today than Antonio McDyess did, but both said they want to wait until game time to decide whether they will dress for the game against the Lakers.
Billups has never had any kind of knee injury before, so he’s naturally being a little cautious. Even though the MRI was negative and there’s no tear, he doesn’t know if playing on it will do further damage or not.
Keith Langlois of Pistons.com took it a step further, saying McDyess was doubtful and Billups a game-time decision. Also, McCosky notes that Jarvis Hayes is battling “nasal and lung congestion.” Fun times.

OT: Bill Walton just threw Rasheed Wallace under a bus a player who can’t think and is selfish in the Rockets v. Spurs pre-game show. It was just about the biggest plate of BS I’ve ever seen Bill Walton serve up in all his years of broadcasting. Stephen A. Smith had to step in as the voice of reason but Walton wasn’t budging.
Ball don’t lie, Bill, but you sure as f&(k do.
And walton can think but just doesn’t.
