Mad Ants happenings

Minor news, but interesting to me: Jeremy Richardson, the leading scorer for the Ft. Wayne Mad Ants (Pistons D-League affiliate), was recalled by the Memphis Grizzlies, who face the Pistons on Friday. Richardson had been averaging 28.5 points per game.

In his absence last night, the Mad Ants activated Sammy Mejia, the last guy cut from the Pistons’ roster in training camp. Mejia went scoreless in two minutes last night (this box score mistakenly lists Chiekh Samb’s name instead of Mejia. Samb is still sidelined after having his teeth knocked out and isn’t even with the team.)

  1. 1 Kyle

i don’t remember who said it but someone said he’s travelling with the pistons and pulling suit duty with Stuckey and Herrmann, is that true? It was a shame to hear about him getting hurt, I liked him. Hopefully this won’t set him back too much.

A jaw injury to Samb is like a knee injury to everyone else. This is really going to set back his development. And by development, I mean intake of fatty foods and complex carbohydrates.
