But I did enjoy reading Simmons on the Miami-Dallas finals two years ago. He was one of the only high-profile columnists (at least that I encountered) who seemed suitably outraged after game five.

I enjoyed reading your EOY awards. It's not often you read a unbiased article and having a lot of truth in it these days. As a loyal San Antonio Spurs fan, I hope that Detroit and SA are in the finals again!

Proving Kevin's point RE: Simmons, despite my strong addiction to bad ESPN content just TODAY I didn't read Simmon's article about copying the Spurs way of doing things even though I STRONGLY agree that the vast majority of NBA teams are crappy because management is too stupid to copy successful models (like S.A., Detroit, etc)...

Unfortunately the Article is written by Bill Simmons and about the NBA and after the last few stinkers he's written I'm no longer convinced he even watches NBA games.

I'll read him in reference to other sports but seriously as a basketball analyst he's hit the Bill Walton phase of his career... and that's not a compliment.

I still give Boston the Top Team. Only three losses and all were close games.

Man that Jamario Moon can throw down some dunks though!

I don't think the SuperSonics moves were that bad. A young Jeff Green is worth more to them than an old Ray Allen.

Hear, hear on Bill Simmons. His assessment of Dumars has stuck in my craw for 2 years now. His flat-out stubbornness about not changing his views has put him over the top in my book.

Look at our players 1-15, then look at the salary numbers and player contract statuses. It quite beautiful. Then look at Miami's, Cleveland's, New Jersey's, and Boston's. In the last 2 years Dumars has somehow transformed this so called over-the-hill gang, into the preeminant favorite, and better yet, a dominant team for the next 4+ years.

Simmons should be ashamed of his green-tinted ignorance.

"If you have two starting-caliber point guards, trade one (preferably before Al Horford can end their career)"
one of the greatest mentions i've seen to the T.J. Ford incident. I just couldn't stop smiling.
