In an absolute best-case scenario, he's still the 10th man in the rotation, and that's without counting Brezec. The fact that he's averaging almost nine minutes in 20 games is actually quite impressive, all things considered. Jason Maxiell had similarly spotty minutes last year before breaking out this year. Johnson is probably on that development track (although, barring a trade, there will still be several big men in front of him in 08-09). Are we not speaking of this to avoid any type of "jinx" or is it all about the Pistons flying under the radar, even given their recent streak? I really wanted the Blazers to continue to win, so they would sort of overshadow the current Pistons streak, but as I told my friends--it is hard to beat a Sloan coached team 3x in a row, two in their building!
