I think its so funny. The arrogance of Billups, etc. I'm writing this after the sixers crushed the pistons in game 3. Gotta love the underdog and see the people who think they have a "free pass" mess up. Even better, the excuses that follow.

You know, James, I don't think the fans have been the loudest ever during these last 2-3 seasons, but they did their part in Game 1. It really does need to get crazy in there, as I know we're not nearly as enthusiastic as fans were back in '02, '03, leading up to the championship.

Toward the end, the place was erupting during the times Detroit did something right, but for most of the 2nd half, the Pistons and Sixers combined for a major buzzkill. "Defense" would start up, and the Sixers would score. One Sixers player actually mentioned that they shut us up, and I can't remember who said that, but it was true for most of the 2nd half. At times, there wasn't anything we could do, especially when a Detroit turnover led to Sixers points. That's when the place gets pin-drop quiet.

We're never going to win any "good boys and girls" awards, nor are they going to write our city name with a daisy for the dotted "I." We're fugly, we're mean, and that's just how it is. Let it hang out there. Bring the war face.

So everyone who was at the game says the crowd was loud but on TV, during the possessions that mattered most, I was hearing a defense cheer for one out of every 4 possessions in the 4th quarter.

Whats up with that? Those of you at the game, you need to take charge. All it takes is a couple fans to stand up and get some energy into that building.

Doesn't matter how many flame throwers, flash bangs, or how many times you play the final countdown over the loud speakers, ultimately it all boils down to just a few fans gettin crazier than normal.

We should be drowning out Philli's offensive calls on every defensive possession, not just on the ones that matter the absolute most. Every possession matters.

Laughton, Joe, you gotta drop the thunderstix at some point and let 'em know you been there. That Palace can get deafening . . . it's a place that Eva Longoria has stated she detests going. She didn't say that because we're a nice metro area.

Also, Philly fans are absolutely going to whoop it up when it goes there. Might as well make it as friendly (and unfriendly to Philly) tomorrow.

The Sixers team with AI and Webber hardly showed a pulse in comparison to this bunch. That's pretty bad commentary for the '04-05 Sixers crew, considering this '07-08 Sixers club works harder with no-stars.

I am waiting for this game with anticipation. Like a hungry dog about to get a sausage. I hope the 'Stones are feeling that too. They need to make a statement, preferably one that involves Philly fans waking in a cold sweat at the thought of what Detroit will do to them in game 3.

i agree, sheed joining the 76'ers huddle was a non-event. if it somehow clouded his judgment during the next play he shouldn't be a professional basketball player.
