Yesterday I tried to clarify the TV situation for Saturday’s Game 4 but all I ended up doing was causing more confusion. So disregard what I said before, here’s what you need to know: if you’re anywhere in Michigan, FSN Detroit (and FSN HD) will broadcast a pre-game show at 4:30 and the game at 5:00. If you can’t get FSN Detroit, ESPN (and ESPN HD) will broadcast their pre-game show at 4:30 and the game at 5pm.
My original jumbled message appears below for posterity’s sake:
All the playoff games now are on national TV, but if you’re in Michigan and want the local angle, note that Game 4 on Saturday will be on FSN and FSNHD. Pistons Insider starts at 4:30 and then Blaha and Special K do the game at 5pm. Update: Actually, I don’t think this one is on national TV. Bummer.

Hey, could you clarify something for me? I’m a MI native out on the West Coast and I am at a loss for how I can watch the game. NBA.com says it is on ‘The Score’ which I guess is a Canadian ESPN ripoff. WTF? Does anyone have an idea how I can watch the Pistons finish their sweep?
Also, why would the NBA sell playoff airtime to a channel that doesn’t have national coverage?
Yahoo! Has the game being on TNT at 5pm (as does my digital cable). Matt, I’m near positive that all post-first round NBA playoff games are on national TV and have been that way for (at least) the past few years. There’s few enough series for the NBA to spread it out on TV for every game.
LB: That’s what I thought, too, but I’m not 100% sure it’s the case now. TNT has exclusive rights this round, which means if they were showing this game, FSN wouldn’t be allowed to. (ESPN/ABC do not have exclusive rights, so if the game is televised, I’m guessing it has to be one of those two.)
Much ado about nothing — it’ll be on ESPN
Except it probably won’t, considering ESPN is showing baseball right now. ESPN probably isn’t going to cut the baseball coverage (which is only in the 2nd inning 30 minutes before the Pistons game begins) in the middle to switch to the playoffs. That’s highly unprofessional. My money’s still on TNT. You’re my boy Matt, but I don’t know what your sources are because every indication still and ALWAYS has pointed to TNT.
LB: I’m talking about Game 4 on Saturday, not Game 3 tonight.
Yeah, helps when I read every word. Hold on while I get the rest off this egg off my face.
According to NBA.com, the game is now on ABC:

And according to ESPN’s schedule, it’s still on ESPN. I have no idea why they’re making this so confusing. I’m sure by tomorrow afternoon we’ll have figured it out for good.
