Where do fans in D.C. watch Pistons games?

(What’s this about? Read this.) Pistons fans are everywhere, they just need to find each other!

If you know where fans in and around Washington D.C. get together to watch games without feeling outnumbered and/or having to argue with the bartender to change the channel, tell us in the comments. If you don’t know where to find other Pistons fans but wish you could, leave a note and maybe suggest a place.

If you’re in DC and on facebook, join the group “Pistons Fans in DC.” I’ll post our final decision, but it looks like we’ll be watching the Conference Finals upstairs at Stoney’s on P Street.

I live near Cleveland Park, so Cleveland Park Bar & Grill or Nanny O’Brian’s are good. Our ESPN comes in badly at the house, so I’ll skip down to the bars to catch the game…in my tayshaun jersey.

It’s not in DC, but the wife and I used to go to the Crystal City Sports pub. They have a billion TVs and are willing to put the game on 99% of the time, even those on League Pass. I say 99% because they wouldn’t do it a time I was there in March, due to the NCAA tourney, but that was understandable. Otherwise, though, they will often set us up with a table right next to a TV tuned into a game, and other NBA fans will talk about games. The food’s not too bad either, and of course there is the beer. sweet beer.

On the Hill I try and go to the Tune Inn. The folks there are mighty accommodating, and there’s enough TVs so that Matt can have whatever Red Sox game is on that night available to him. Plus: the West Virginia is a delicious sandwich.

This year, I finally found my playoff bar: Momo’s, on U street between 13th and 14th, next to Tabaq. Plenty of TVs, sound, and a great owner. Their cheeseburgers could use an upgrade, but it’s a great place to catch a game, and no arguing about it it’s a sports bar. I love this place, I’m planted here 3 nights a week.
