Congratulations to Tayshaun Prince. His selection isn’t really as a suprise as Prince was one of the key players at the FIBA Americas tournament and not a benchwarmer in any way like some dopey pundits are now saying. I predict Tayshaun Prince with be in the Top 6 in minutes played for this team and I wouldn’t be suprised if he’s in the top 4 in scoring and top 3 in rebounding.

Trivia - Tay may be the first NBA player post-Dream Team (’92) to be named to the US Olympic Team without ever having made an all-star team.

OT: The writer James Fallows at The Atlantic magazine lives in China and has been posting on the air quality in Beijing. If anybody in the Pistons training department reads this be sure to give Tayshaun some tips on what to do during bad air quality days. Beijing is like LA smog on steroids.
