Pistons look for perfection in Phoenix

The Pistons have a chance to go 4-0 on their western road trip, which is pretty amazing considering how rough around the edges they looked before leaving. Things haven’t completely come together (Rip Hamilton won’t shot 37% on the season … right?) but there have still been long stretches lately that they’ve played as well as any time of the last several years.

Here’s to hoping they finish strong and take care of business against all the familiar faces (Terry Porter, Grant Hill) in Phoenix. The ball tips in just a few minutes on FSN as well as NBA TV — leave your thoughts in the comments.

This DET-PHX stream looks pretty good:

  2. 2 Big Mike

I like Kwame’s defence on Shaq so far. I hope he bodies him up hard the whole game.

  3. 3 Matt Watson

If someone told me a year ago that I’d be cheering for an AI to Kwame Brown alley-oop, I would have looked at them funny.

  4. 4 Sean W.

That A.I. lob to Kwame was pretty.

  5. 5 Boney

Channelsurfing.net has a better stream than Justintv

  6. 6 Sean W.

Oh my… Did Kwame grow fingers?

  7. 7 Jim

    Kwame is a beast!

  8. 8 Matt Gibson

THROW IT DOWN, KWAME BROWN! … Did I just type that?

  9. 9 Boney

    KWAME!

  10. 10 Boney

    KWAME THROWS IT DOWN

  11. 11 Diablo

Kwame = Detroit’s Next Success Story

  12. 12 Sean W.

Well that hurt… .Amir is going to have his hands full..

  13. 13 Laughton

Sneaking away from cleaning the house for a moment to watch some ball. Go Stones!

  14. 14 Greg

Blah I wanted Amir to throw that down so bad.

  15. 15 Keegan

Boney, tell Amir to THROW IT DOWN, BIG MAN!

  16. 16 Boney

    GO UP STRONG AMIR

    god damnit

  17. 17 Rban

damn kwame always hits back rim in those circumstances.

  18. 18 Boney

    fucking Amir

throw that shit down, jesus christ

  19. 19 Rban

    i mean Amir.

  20. 20 Boney

If Amir and I were to switch bodies for just one night

I’d fucking show you how it’s done to be 6′9 220lbs in the NBA

  21. 21 Mike Payne

The last time these two teams played, Amir blocked Shaq twice and then Shaq threw Amir to the ground with a hard foul. Let’s hope the young fella gets under the big fella’s skin once again.

  22. 22 Brad

I like the Suns commentators… they’ve given Detroit several compliments. At first I didn’t even know they were Suns commentators. Just because you’re a homer doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give respect to the other team. Blaha has always excelled at that. It’s nice to see another crew with the same outlook.

  23. 23 Sean W.

Speaking of homers it’s almost unbearable to listen to the home crew commentators during a Cavs game. I’ve been forced to watch on mute a few times.

  24. 24 Garrett

Boney: That Amare dunk was for you.

  25. 25 Jim

Nice to see Rip hitting his shots.

  26. 26 Boney

    nice amir

  27. 27 Garrett

Good for Amare for actually developing a jumper.

  28. 28 Big Mike

Looks like Hamilton is off to a good start.

  29. 29 Sean W.

No Kwame = No defense in the paint. Strange to say that.

  30. 30 Diablo

I don’t know why most of you think Amir can just throw it down on anyone.

I like Amir but he needs to gets stronger, you just can’t dunk on anyone just because you have the athletic abiltiy, you need to have the strength in your upper and lower body also. Amir doesn’t have it…yet. Get him in the weight room doing squats, some plyometrics, and some hang-clean and he will be dunking on people at will.

  31. 31 Other Matt

@Sean, I wasn’t exactly sad to see Fred McLeod go away.

I’ve been on vacation for a week, somebody mind summing up the 400 post Lakers thread for me? I watched the game from a bar with friends and didn’t have the greatest view of the TV. I thought we were fantastic from what I did see. Thanks, I’ll hang up and listen.

  32. 32 Garrett

Ah, Grant Hill. *solitary tear rolls down my cheek*

  33. 33 Laughton

Well, that was not what I was expecting.

  34. 34 Brad

Unfortunately, Amir’s lack of weight is painfully apparent against Stoudemire. Pushes him around like a rag doll.

  35. 35 Diablo

Memories of the ‘97 Pistons start to come to mind. Someone please stop Grant Hill.

  36. 36 Sean W.

Hey check it! They have their own Herrmann…

  37. 37 Restructer_It

You guys know that quick bunny jumping ability by Amir you all loved… I think that’s the root of his fouls. We need to keep our feet on the ground on defense.

  38. 38 Boney

Amir can’t dunk on everyone, you’re right

but he can go straight up to the rack rather than double clutching because a hand contests his shot… draw the foul, go to the line

  39. 39 Diablo

Mcdyess would be nice in these types of situations.

  40. 40 Garrett

I’d rather see Amir get blocked trying to kill it than trying to double-clutch and lay it in. Especially since everyone says his athletic ability is off the charts.

  41. 41 Other Matt

    We look atrocious.

  42. 42 Garrett

What is this, 1995? Grant Hill and Shaq on fire!

  43. 43 kevin s.

We’ll see if Shaq’s still doing this in April.

  44. 44 Jim

    They are shooting 80%…

  45. 45 Brad

Wow… I just saw a Clippers commercial. “If you want us to play loud, you have to be loud!” Reminds me of being a Lions fan.

  46. 46 Big Mike

I’d like to think they can’t shoot 82% forever, but if we keep letting them shoot from 5 feet away I can’t like our chances.

  47. 47 Garrett

Even though Shaq just got that baby hook against Kwame, I like it. Kwame is HUGE.

  48. 48 Diablo

Boney: His body might not be able to take that type of beating, you never know, he’s probably already taking a beating just double-clutching and trying to finesse everything.

But power moves and dunks are not what I’m worried about with Amir, it’s the fact that he hasn’t showed any type of post moves to free up for easy lay-ups or turn-around jumpers.

  49. 49 Big Mike

Kwame makes Shaq get the ball 2 feet farther out than everyone else. I like his physicality(?)

  50. 50 Boney

we need to punish Edmondson… how dare he think he can check Sheed

  51. 51 Laughton

    Poor shooting, oh well.

  52. 52 Laughton

Kwame is playing well on D, making Shaq work.

  53. 53 Big Mike

    Good stuff Kwame!

  54. 54 Boney

Stoudemire rivals only Carmelo Anthony in the stupidest accessories and hairstyle category

  55. 55 Diablo

Shaq’s trying to throw his body into Kwame, I’m glad the officials are noticing that.

  56. 56 Big Mike

It seems that instead of driving and kicking out or driving and dishing, we’re just playing one on one and settling for jumpers. And a part of our game is getting out on the break, and we haven’t been able to do that with the suns shooting so well. Hopefully things will start going our way after the half.

  57. 57 Other Matt

Shaq should be suspended for 10 games for that.

What a ridiculous cheap shot. Fuck him.

  58. 58 prophecy_projectz

    lol@Alvin Gentry

  59. 59 Diablo

    Alvin Gentry?!

  60. 60 Laughton

    Whoa!

  61. 61 kevin s.

    Later, you fat thug.

  62. 62 DJ Canoli

    ow, that must hurt.

  63. 63 Restructer_It

What are the pheonix announcers saying? Kelser and Blaha said automatic ejection.

  64. 64 Jim

What a cheap shot by Shaq!

  65. 65 Diablo

    OOOO Fucking SHAQ!

    Someone punch him.

  66. 66 prophecy_projectz

Games like this really expose Detroit’s frontcourt

    Damn Stuckey Shaq-Fu’ed#

    Diesel is gone!

  67. 67 prophecy_projectz

The Suns announcers are saying Shaq is ghost

  68. 68 Boney

get the fuck off the court you fat fuck

  69. 69 Sean W.

@Restructer_IT: The PHX officials are agreeing with the call. They said “I don’t know what he was thinking..”

  70. 70 Diablo

Fucking clothsline Rodney Stuckey in the air? Fucking fat-ass. Eject him.

  71. 71 piñon lopez

this game plan works for me (the sans shaq plan).

  72. 72 Brad

Every once in a while Shaq reminds me how much of a thug he is. Flagrant foul… maybe. Sitting there arguing and throwing your coach’s arm away after you did THAT… classless.

  73. 73 prophecy_projectz

lol@ Porter having no control of Shaq

  74. 74 Laughton

With great power comes great responsibility. Or a massive appetite.
Bye Shaq, pick on kids your own size. Leave your babies at the door, Max is hungry.

  75. 75 prophecy_projectz

We got a chance to come back fellas.

(Frankly I think Phoenix can still control the game off Nash and Amare)

  76. 76 Boney

    fucking Shaq

Shaq, tell me again what happens when Detroit wins tonight… you gave it to us right?

shut the fuck up you fat loser… how about you sit out another 30 games or so and make a playoff push like every other year

  77. 77 Mannie32

shaq is an asshole… coulda killed stuckey there, damn… i little excessive

  78. 78 Sean W.

I hope the Suns get blown the fuck out now and Shaq gets a suspension.

  79. 79 Garrett

Wha happen…? I left the room for 3 minutes and hell hell broke loose!

  80. 80 Tiny

Shaq’s making Porter look pretty bad here.

  81. 81 Sean W.

I can’t believe Stuck is still playing after bouncing off the ground like that. He’s a tough cookie…

  82. 82 Restructer_It

Amare has never played a bad game I have watched. Is he a 2009 or 2010 guy?

  83. 83 Tim

Does Stuck know what state he’s in?

  84. 84 piñon lopez

god damn doesn’t this league already have one sidefreakshow bob?? is this a varipendejo poser?

  85. 85 prophecy_projectz

You know I generally think he doesnt know his own strenght at times. He put way too much thrust on that.

    Gotta play smart Tay!

  86. 86 Diablo

Stuckey knocked down both of his techs.

Shaq is such a bitch, he purposes threw Stuckey to the ground and he still tried to argue his point.

  87. 87 Laughton

Halftime can not come soon enough.

  88. 88 Diablo

    *purposely

  89. 89 prophecy_projectz

    Ugh. We need Dice back

  90. 90 prophecy_projectz

Rodney has to calm down, hes playing too reckless.

  91. 91 Other Matt

There should absolutely be a suspension, and a lengthy one, for that foul. Shaq is lucky that he didn’t break Stuckey’s neck. It was an absolute, ridiculous cheap shot.

That said, I love the way Stuckey has responded. We’re watching him grow up a little bit more tonight.

  92. 92 Matt Gibson

wtf. The announcer just called stuckey “butler” twice in a row

  93. 93 Laughton

    Quick! Someone throw a beer!

  94. 94 piñon lopez

watching an NBA feed and god do they hate on the pistons constantly, questioning every call against peehonix

  95. 95 prophecy_projectz

Post up Sheed, we need you right now. Maxiell too. Get Kwame off my HD TV please. kthanxbai

  96. 96 Diablo

Was PHX annoucer calling Stuckey, Butler?

  97. 97 Garrett

Stuckey doesn’t want his minutes to go to Bynum. He’s playing HARD. Not WELL, but HARD.

  98. 98 Other Matt

P_P, he has to calm down? He’s attacking the rim like it’s Shaq’s face.

RODNEY MF STUCKEY WITH THE AND ONE.

  99. 99 Restructer_It

    Stuckey is hurt.

  100. 100 Diablo

    Stuckey waking up!

  101. 101 prophecy_projectz

Yeah before that he was running into brick walls. Sheed needs to get into the interior. He normally plays well against these Suns.

  102. 102 Big Mike

Shaq knocked some intensity into Stuckey

  103. 103 Diablo

Look at Stuckey battling for rebounds with Amare.

  104. 104 prophecy_projectz

Oh snap at Sheed fans in the Phoenix area. Am I the only one who heard Sheeeeeeeed on that shot?

  105. 105 prophecy_projectz

Thats it Sheed get in there!

  106. 106 prophecy_projectz

    Oh shit, Canadian Bacon

  107. 107 prophecy_projectz

    Yes, we need Sheed

  108. 108 Restructer_It

    @p_p

They did it earlier in the game when Sheed posted up too. Before the game Kelser was talking about how there’s always a good number of detroit fans in pheonix.

  109. 109 prophecy_projectz

    Damn you Canada!

  110. 110 Diablo

Was that Prince, Nash shot over?

  111. 111 prophecy_projectz

For a squad thats supposedly never had a Superstar during there ECF run and considered “boring” Ive seen a lot of Detroit fans at away games over the past 4 seasons on League pass game.

  112. 112 Other Matt

Eric Snow, how is that even a debatable flagrant 2? He went up high on a guy that was 9 feet off the ground. Unbelievable. At least Aldridge pressed him on it.

  113. 113 Rob G

PP: if those ex-pat Pistons fans are anything like me, they’re fleeing Michigan’s economy.

  114. 114 Other Matt

P_P, I’ve been to games in NJ, Philly, and DC, and in all 3 places the Pistons were very well represented.

  115. 115 Garrett

Always plenty of Pistons fans in Toronto, too.

  116. 116 Rob G

I just saw that Shaq foul (I’m Tivoing) and goddamn, that looked like the foul Shaq laid on Amir last year. Nasty as hell. I tried to find a YouTube vid but couldn’t, but I bet y’all remember that foul.

  117. 117 Big Mike

Phoenix is shooting 70% at the half and we are at 45%. And if unnecessary and excessive is the criteria for a flagrant 2, that was definitely a flagrant 2.

  118. 118 Garrett

Bynum would have dunked on Shaq.

  119. 119 andyfrombrooklyn

    suns are shooting rather well

  120. 120 Rob G

Stuckey must have been wearing Mithril armour to be able to withstand the assault of a cave-troll.

  121. 121 Boney

as if I needed anything more to hate Shaq for…

    fucking loser

I hope some Suns fans come here and try to cry about that call. The same Suns fans that cried about Amare getting suspended for a playoff game for leaving the bench

  122. 122 Rob G

I get the sense the Suns are trying to act thuggist after years of being a finesse team. It ain’t genuine toughness; kinda pseudo-tough

  123. 123 prophecy_projectz

Come on fella someone move into fucking interior!

  124. 124 andyfrombrooklyn

i am boring and that is why i like the pistons so much. shaq is an asshole. give me stevephen jackson, artest, or manny ramirez, and definitely sheed over shaq personality anyhow but he is o.k. with the media. they never question hiom in the same way but imagine if sheed had done something like that?

  125. 125 Other Matt

Rob G, I hear ya. I was just home for the week and I’m definitely home sick, but there’s nothing jobs wise for me to go back to. Detroit is on its way to becoming like Pittsburgh. My Dad is from there and when the steel mills closed down, all those jobs and workers left the city and went all over the country. I’m a Steelers fan, and there are ALWAYS tens of thousands of Steelers fans at away games because so many people from the ‘burgh moved. I was at a Tigers game in Baltimore this summer and was absolutely floored by the number of Tiger fans in attendance. I’d say that we were a good 35% of a pretty large crowd for a mid-summer game.

  126. 126 prophecy_projectz

Its like Im living in a Bizarro world, the Suns and Pistons have reveresed roles in playing styles.

  127. 127 prophecy_projectz

Oh yeah…cause that’s guy I want to appeal a tech for a teammate: Rip Hamilton. What? do you both wanna take a hike?

  128. 128 prophecy_projectz

Sheed really has to post up for the rest of this game

  129. 129 Other Matt

With the exception of Kwame and Stuckey, we’re playing really soft tonight.

  130. 130 Sean W.

You know we’re playing soft when MF Steve Nash blocks a shot. WTF!

  131. 131 prophecy_projectz

Well this game is out of reach, but I guess it does highlight the frontcourt issue thats been prevelant this year early. Really, not that I check the minutes but why does it feel like Kwame friggin Brown has been getting more PT than Amir and Maxiell this season? I mean its probably not true but it feels like it.

Rip Hamilton should never talk again after letting Nash stuff him like that.

Again…with the defense on the frontcourt

  132. 132 Rob G

This is not a night of magic.

  133. 133 Boney

no way we make it out of the first round of the playoffs

    /prophecy_projectz’d

  134. 134 prophecy_projectz

Oh Im sorry Boney I didnt realise I missed the Pistons Championship Parade last year.

  135. 135 Other Matt

    This is awful to watch.

  136. 136 Boney

your tv shouldn’t have played anymore games than after the 1st round last season

you must keep crow stocked in your fridge with as negative as you are towards the team you claim to like

  137. 137 prophecy_projectz

You not for nothing but J-Max and Fabio would be useful in a game like this at this point.

  138. 138 Mannie32

just seems like one of those games… grrr

  139. 139 Boney

alright, I’m turning this crap off. I really don’t like Steve Nash… aside from Paul Pierce, Nash is #1B on my list of guys who I’d be satisfied to never see win a ring.

  140. 140 Other Matt

You know what’s even worse than this awful game is the 10 minute on-going rationalization of Shaq’s attempted murder of Stuckey. I used to like these announcers, but that’s not a defendable action

  141. 141 Restructer_It

Halftime of the football game is over over.

  142. 142 Restructer_It

    almost*

  143. 143 prophecy_projectz

^^^^ and he has nerve to hate on other Pistons fans for being negative?

  144. 144 Sean W.

This is really effin’ hard to watch right now…

  145. 145 Brad

    Amir?!?! wtf?!?!

  146. 146 Other Matt

That was an absolutely terrible decision by Amir.

  147. 147 Rob G

That’s our Boney. I think he called me out for suggesting that Perkins had a good rebounding game. Meh. It’s what Boney does, and I wouldn’t ask him to change.

  148. 148 Sean W.

I think we need some Walter to combat Amundson…

  149. 149 Boney

    prophecy,

Tell me again why the 76ers will beat the Detroit Pistons in the playoffs last year.

    your explanation = fail.

Please turn your Jason Maxiell Eats Babies shirt over to Garrett before you sign off.

  150. 150 Boney

    Rob G.

I doubt I went off about Perk having a good rebounding game.

Now if you told everyone how the 6ers would beat Detroit in the 1st round, well, then I’d call you out on it.

  151. 151 prophecy_projectz

    @ Sean W

Too much Vidal Sasoon hairstyle swagger for one basketball court.

  152. 152 Mannie32

14 point game… small chance for a comeback… im putting all my hope into this!

  153. 153 Rob G

Boney, if I remember rightly, I think I basically said Perk WAS acting like a beast during the ECF, and you suggested I was playing “grab-ass” with Boston fans, or something. It was pretty funny.

  154. 154 Brad

We just need Nash and Stoudemire to get thrown out and we got this one in the bag!!!

  155. 155 Restructer_It

Detroit Pistons staple 4th quarter lock down defense…

  156. 156 Sean W.

    MFWB!

  157. 157 Other Matt

Hey, this Bynum guy is pretty good.

  158. 158 Brad

Or just put Bynum in the game… either way.

  159. 159 Rob G

By’em might get us back into this…

  160. 160 Colin

    Bynum!

  161. 161 Mannie32

    9 point game!!!!!!!!!!!

  162. 162 Rob G

Our lineup is no bigger than a mid-major college team…

  163. 163 Diablo

I don’t know if any of you have Wiki’ed Bynum but it has some interesting info on him.

  164. 164 Big Mike

I like this lineup. It’s not always smooth, but the energy and fearlessness is always there.

  165. 165 Boney

    Rob G.,

Anytime I accuse anyone of playing grabass with perkisafatass.com people, it’s usually humorous.

If I offended you, my apologies.

to prophecy_projectz, get that crow ready

  166. 166 Rob G

Boney - dude. You’re boney. I know what the score is. Jackass.

  167. 167 Rob G

    By’em!

  168. 168 Other Matt

Okay, so that’s a little out of Bynum’s range.

  169. 169 prophecy_projectz

Boney, Jesus Christ your like a scorned schoolgirl Cheeleader LOL!.
So what I was wrong? Most people thought the same way during that series felt the same way given the teams history folding in winnable series. At the end of the day, its not like them proving us wrong was anything to marvel at because we still didnt win the title and we’re currently rebuilding.

So whoop-de-doo they proved me wrong and beat Philly. Brag to me when we get a title. I’ll be there with ya then. But until have a coke and a smile and let it go when we as fans criticise the team. The reactions are normal of any sportsfan. Hopping on other fans instead of the players aint.

Is your life that uneventful that you sit there and make a diary of when people are wrong ?Course you do, like I said your a schoolgirl. You even post like one like with that “your explination=fail” quip. LOL!

Why dont you take that energy an apply for a Ball Boy position at the Palace or something lol.

  170. 170 DJ Canoli

these are really really obnoxious announcers.

  171. 171 Rob G

I’d love to read diaries of Pistons fans.

“OMG! So today, I was at the game, and I was like five feet behind Herrmann! And I yelled his name LOL! But when he turned to look I hid my face! :) !!111!!!!”

  172. 172 Diablo

Bynum on Amare…not a good mix.

  173. 173 Mannie32

    fack

  174. 174 Brad

The Suns are kicking our ass… of course the announcers are gonna gush.

The way they excused Shaq’s foul was criminal though. That’d be like me going to a 5th grade playground and knocking some kid to the ground because he was being aggressive… and somehow justifying it by saying I don’t know my own strength. It’s one thing to block a shot, its another thing to follow through when you’re A) huge and B) knowing you have your opponent in a compromised position.

  175. 175 prophecy_projectz

I find the Suns announcers more tolerable than of course Bostons.

But in terms of straight humor, you guys gotta check out the LA Clippers local announce team. The lead commentator just doesnt care. lol. He ad-libs the most random shit ever. I remember watching them against San Antonio last season and he said something along the lines off
“And the Clippers are in a scoring drought with 3:45 gone by in this quarter. They’re just not having any luck……..although that guy in the 10th row seemed to have some with that young lady” without any cut to a camera shot of it or anything whatsoever and he just keeps going with that kinda stuff. He’s like a drunk pimp, Im pretty sure hes related to Phil Jackson

  176. 176 PistonsGirl4Life

Look, I haven’t come around on the trade at all to be honest, I’m still sure this team is out in the second round as constructed now (though that might change if we get Dyees back… not sure)…… but:

    1) The Lakers game was pretty damn good by the end of it. Apparently we CAN win with Rip Sulking if Sheed wakes up and realizes how much easier AI makes his Job AND Kwame Brown focuses 100% on defense and tries to stay the F out of the way otherwise… that worked. Hate the deal or not, it worked, it looked great and if the Pistons keep doing that all year they will win a PILE of games.

    2) Nobody wins every night

    3) Four game West Coast road trips aren’t easy, they’re physically taxing and the team was due for a letdown after the LA game…

I take absolutely NOTHING from this loss and I honestly think anyone ACTUALLY watching this game can tell the Pistons are tired and half of them are already on board the plane home…

It happens… it just better not happen in May… knowhatumsayin?

    Really referees?

  178. 178 PistonsGirl4Life

Note btw, I’m assuming we’ll lose, who the F knows maybe we can make the huge comeback :) Okay fine… j/k

  179. 179 Rob G

    PG4L Im with ya

  180. 180 prophecy_projectz

Dude literally is a poor man’s D Wade :( He cant get no breaks

  181. 181 Brad

I’m watching the game… I don’t think we look tired.

  182. 182 Other Matt

P_P, it’s not that you were wrong. It’s not even really horribly, flamingly, ridiculously wrong. It’s that I don’t think I’ve ever seen you say anything positive ever. I mean, if you define success as titles, then I feel kind of sorry for you. It’s possible for a season or a game to be a success without a title or a victory. We’ll be really lucky if the Pistons win 1 more title in the next 20 years. It just doesn’t happen that often, there’s a reason they throw a parade when you win one, man.

  183. 183 DJ Canoli

no, seriously, these announcers are terrible tonight. They’re so smug right now.

  184. 184 Mannie32

how was that an offensive foul?

  185. 185 Big Mike

    @ P_P

I totally agree about Stuckey. At worst it’s a no call.

  186. 186 Sean W.

@PG4L: Agreed for the most part. Their jumpers are looking flat, and aside for Stuck it looks like most of the guys can’t wait to get back to the locker room. I’m really hoping a couple of days off gets these guys the rest they so obviously need.

  187. 187 prophecy_projectz

    @PG4L:

Like I said after the Celts game on Sunday: Get back to me in 10 games. I wasnt worried then, nor was I estatic after the Laker game. Better to have these difficult games early now and see what happens. But Curry needs to utilize the team more like how he did at the start of the season. I dont know but it just feels like Maxiell doesnt get used enough. Maybe Im not paying attention but I think he and even Hermann could benefit with a little bit more PT.

  188. 188 Other Matt

Also, hearing the Suns color guy saying that the league will change the Flagrant 2 on Shaq because of the way Stuckey has played since the foul (something along the lines of how much he loves contact and created the situation where he almost got killed) is the most alarmingly stupid thing I’ve ever heard. And this is an election year where a lot of really stupid things were said and are still fresh in my mind.

  189. 189 Rob G

No, they’re tired. They’re not closing out on shots. Their screens suck. They aren’t rebounding. The best player on our team tonight? Kwame. Hands down. Great D. And if Kwame Browns your player of the game, you’ve done something wrong.

Consider me a Knight of Kwame.

  190. 190 Mannie32

    booooo

  191. 191 Tim

According to the phoenix commentators the Suns just beat the best team in the NBA at their own game. This is a real important win for them.

  192. 192 prophecy_projectz

    Other Matt:
    *In deadpan Brad Garrett voice*
They have nice uniforms and I would love to have Mason announce the birth of my first child in the Delivery room as it happens. There. You happy now?

  193. 193 prophecy_projectz

I dont get the hate for the Suns commentators btw. They’ve given us props all night long in the midst of a blowout. Or do some of you take it all as backhand compliments?

  194. 194 Sean W.

    “Alan Acker” …. lol

  195. 195 Other Matt

    P_P, that’s much better.

  196. 196 Sean W.

Poor Lopez’s baby just became dinner..

  197. 197 Rob G

Meh. Not a night of magic.

  198. 198 prophecy_projectz

I think Hermann and this dude from the Suns should play one on one after this game on this court and the loser has to honorably get his ponytail sliced by the victor via an ancient Samurai.

  199. 199 prophecy_projectz

    Fuck that was a baby!

  200. 200 Other Matt

A lot of the compliments have been backhanded in nature. This announcing team also has the distinction of saying the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard. So take that for what it’s worth.

  201. 201 Tim

Who hired Eric Snow to do TV? The guy is worthless.

  202. 202 prophecy_projectz

    @Other Matt:

Like I said, you need to take in a Clipper Game on League Pass/Channelsurfing sometime and see some real commentary gems.

  203. 203 Mannie32

i liked the suns commentary too̷
