We’re 10 games into the season and the Pistons have played only three games at the Palace. If that looks funny to you, there’s good reason: only two other teams (Portland and Atlanta) are still waiting to play their fourth home game of the year. Tonight the Pistons host the Cavs, and will attempt to chip away at Cleveland’s one and a half game lead in the Central. I’ll be at the game, but instead of working I’ve been invited to the Grand Opening of the Canadian Club Terrace for some pre-game whiskey tasting and dinner, which is why you’re getting such an early game thread. Man, LeBron is just on a whole ‘nother level. Everything he does is just pretty much better than everyone else on the court. He moves quicker, jumps higher, runs faster. Even his passes seem to be more crisp. I think I’d spontaneously combust if we got him in 2010.

Tay was a disappointment.
This was a very good win, real confidence booster against basically the conference favourites. Especially considering the boys came from behind (pause) and ended a big streak. I guess we can hang with the big dogs with this new lineup. This and the Laker win proved it. Lets hope we get more of these and less of those Phx/Bos games.

curry’s rotation is uncomfortably different but insanely effective. as time was dwindling in the 4th, i had to rub my eyes to make sure i wasn’t seeing things with spellcheck and stuck still on the floor and rip and tay on the bench. and he’s got his fingers on the right buttons obviously. he’s completely unafraid to stick with the hot hand at any ego’s expense. i admire that. he’s been true to his pledge thus far.

Another observation:
5-6 is good enough for 8th best in the West and only 10th best in the East. I think this might be the year where all the playoff teams have a winning record.
qd-i don’t think it was an energy thing for the cavs but i could be wrong. we had some fantastic defensive plays in the 2nd half including two BRILLIANT steals by a.i. i’d like to think it was mostly due to curry and fires lit than any fatigue setting in for the cavs.
