Detroit rocks Miami

Sure, it's the preseason, but it's great to see: Detroit 87, Miami 66. And big surprise: Shaq and Wade lead the Heat in scoring while no one else cracks double digits.

Rasheed Wallace left with a strained quad in the third quarter, but they're saying it's not serious.

What I really liked was Carlos Delfino's line: 16 minutes, 13 points, three assists and two boards. He shot 5-6 from the field (1-1 from beyond the arch) and 2-2 from the line. For a guy that never really seemed to get on Larry Brown's good side, this could be a surprising season.

From the Detroit News recap:

After two sluggish outings, the Pistons' first unit came out strong, building a 23-14 lead, forcing six turnovers and limiting the Heat to 31 percent shooting.

"The positive is, we had a good, intense practice (on Friday)," coach Flip Saunders said. "We executed well and were very active defensively and we carried that through."
