Dupree to the T’Wolves

As you probably know by now, Alex Acker beat out Ronald Dupree for the final roster spot, prompting the Pistons to trade Dupree to the Timberwolves for a future second-round pick sometime in the next three years.

Good move by Joe Dumars recouping some value from a player we would have been forced to waive in the first place. The best-case scenario from Dupree's perspective would have been clearing waivers, receiving his guaranteed salary from Detroit and another minimum salary with another team, but this is a close second, especially considering there's no way Dupree would have cleared waivers, and the fact that he should make an impact on the rotation for his new team.
