Hear me now, Ali G on TNT

If you've never seen HBO's Da Ali G Show, you've probably been a little confused about the new NBA commercials on TNT. But I think that's the point, really, since Ali G's interview subjects are usually completely befuddled themselves.

If you haven't seen the commercials, then you're probably wondering, Wot is yous banging on about? Well, read on.

Somehow, some P.R. staffer (perhaps from TNT, HBO or maybe an advertising agency, I'm not sure) found this site and passed along a link to Truth vs. Non-Truth, a site with all five Ali G on TNT commercials released to date, as well as a nifty countdown to when the next one of the remaining four will be released. Right now there are two with Kobe Bryant, two with Steve Nash, one with the TNT crew of Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson, and lastly, one with Ben Wallace.

I'm not sure these spots are even scripted, because some of these guys look downright confused. The Wallace one is funny, but I'd say the Nash ones are actually the best -- he looks like pretty ticked off, like he wants to hit Ali G, which is pretty funny if you've ever seen Nash play defense.

But don't take my word, check it out yourself:
